CREATIVE MOTION
FOR GENERAL MUSIC TEACHERS
Teachers who use Creative Motion principles in their classrooms recognize that the whole person - body, mind and spirit - is the primary instrument in all music-making. Creative Motion in the classroom provides holistic hands-on activities to teach the elements of music. It will help students experience community through movement and improvisation while learning non-verbal techniques for centering and self-expression.
Creative Motion will help you guide your students as they learn to connect to the inherent energy in many different styles of music. From a curricular content standpoint, Creative Motion pedagogy provides a kinesthetic and experiential focus on rhythm, melody and harmony; this is a great fit for the general music classroom.
