WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Join us for a week of Creative Motion study in which participants discover how the body responds to music and how that response shapes our experiences of listening and performing. The intergenerational Creative Motion Class is the touchstone of our teaching. In it, you will engage in holistic approaches to musical concepts, such as rhythm, melody, harmony, phrase, and texture. Body tuning exercises in the Creative Motion Class, as well as in Qigong classes, will help you find a balance that enhances musical experience. The conference day includes Choir, Bach Chorales, Master Classes, Expressive Arts, and classes in which Creative Motion concepts are applied to piano, voice, instrumental playing, and music education. In addition, there are opportunities for private or small group lessons.

DFW - Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport is 33 miles from the conference site.

LOVE Field is 40 miles from the conference site.

Arriving by Train

Intermodal Transportation Center - 1001 Jones Street - Fort Worth, TX 76102 is about 13 miles from the conference site.

Ground transportation is available from shuttle services, cabs, and Über.

MEAL OPTIONS

There are a host of local restaurants near the conference site. A few are within walking distance, and many others may be reached in less than 5 minutes by car.

If there is sufficient interest we may arrange to bring mid-day meals to the conference site for $10/day. If you are interested in this meal plan - or coordinating transportation to local restaurants for meals, please let our conference director know.
